The workshop will review the evolution and devolution of federal EA law and policy, and discuss law reform themes and opportunities. The objectives of the Workshop are to inform, learn from each other, and prepare participants who will engage in the federal review process.

The Annual General Meeting of the Alberta Environmental Network Society will be held in conjunction with the Spring Meetings.
The fall cross-caucus meeting is an opportunity for all the AEN caucuses and working groups to come together as a community and discuss strategies to move our collective concerns forward. It is also a chance to meet with your fellow-caucus members face-to-face.
We are six months into the first new government in Alberta in 40 years. This change represents an opportunity to review the Network’s strategies and tactics, and determine how we can best support our members in advancing their key issues.

In October 2014, Opposition MP Linda Duncan introduced "An Act to Establish a Canadian Environmental Bill of Rights” in Parliament. If enacted, the bill would legally enshrine environmental rights for Canadians and the duty of the federal government to take action to protect the environment.
