Survey of the Suffield National Wildlife Area

<div class="flexinode-body flexinode-1"><div class="flexinode-textarea-1"><div class="form-item"> <label>Description: </label> With an area of 2,690 km<sup>2</sup>, CFB Suffield is one of the largest blocks of unplowed grassland remaining in Prairie Canada, roughly one half the size of Prince Edward Island. Undisturbed grasslands, sand hills, river breaks and wetlands are refuge to an army of plants, mammals, birds, reptiles, amphibians and insects currently exceeding 1,100 known species, 14 of which are listed as species at risk in Canada.<br /><p>Speaker <strong>Cleve Wershler</strong> runs <strong>Sweetgrass Consultants Ltd</strong> an environmental consulting company. He is a superb field biologist with an excellent knowledge of Alberta&#39;s biota and ecosystems.
