Hometown Heroes - Earth Day Canada

Earth Day Canada is once again accepting nominations for its 2007 Hometown Heroes Award Program, which celebrates dedicated Canadians working toward sustainability in their local communities.

As enthusiastic members of the Canadian environmental movement, I’m sure you’re aware of a few Hometown Heroes of your own!

Our award program recognizes individuals of all ages, school groups, First Nations organizations, community groups, non-profit organizations and municipalities as eligible Hometown Heroes. This year’s winner will be honoured at the fourth annual Earth Day Canada Gala on Friday June 1st, 2007 in Toronto.

For more information about the Hometown Heroes Award Program please visit www.earthday.ca/hometown.

Applications must be received by Earth Day Canada by Friday, April 20th, 2007.

If you have any questions, or require further clarification, please do not hesitate to contact me.

We want to hear from the many grassroots organizations involved in your environmental network so help us spread the word!

Sincerely,
Aneela Bisram
