A&WMA/CPANS Luncheon - The Clean Air Act: A Legal Perspective on Climate Change Regulation in Canada

The proposed federal Clean Air Act, now undergoing review by parliamentary committee, provides the context for that debate. Corbin Devlin will provide a review and update on the Clean Air Act, as well as comments on the legal context for climate change regulation in Canada including the Kyoto Protocol and federal/provincial jurisdiction to regulate greenhouse gas emissions.</p><h3>About the Presenter </h3><p>Corbin Devlin is a partner and a member of the Energy, Environment and Regulatory Law Practice Group with the Edmonton office of McLennan Ross LLP. His work includes environmental litigation and environmental regulatory matters. Corbin is the past Chair of the Canadian Bar Association (CBA) National Environmental, Energy and Resources Law Section, and a past Chair of the CBA Northern Alberta Environmental Law Section. He is Vice-President of the Environmental Law Centre in Edmonton. Corbin is a member of the bars of Alberta and the NWT.</p><h3>About the Luncheon</h3><p>The luncheon is scheduled for Friday March 2nd.
