The Athabasca Watershed Council has been working to increase watershed resilience through riparian habitat assessment, education, restoration, and conservation. Three speakers will present their work on riparian areas including:
- Shari Clare with Fiera Biological Consulting will be showcasing her work on the Riparian Area Assessment of the Pembina River Watershed.
- Mary Ellen Shain with North Saskatchewan Watershed Alliance will be discussing the Riparian Web Portal that was designed to support Albertans build healthier riparian areas.
- Lisa Card with Highway 2 Conservation will be presenting her work on-the-ground with landowners in the Pembina River Watershed.
