Living in the Natural Environment 2011

February 4, 2011 - 11:00pm to February 5, 2011 - 4:00am

The M.D. of Bighorn is again presenting Living in the Natural Environment on Friday February 4, 2011.

This year’s event will be at the Cochrane RancheHouse from 4-9pm. As we have in the past, the Hall of Vision has been rented to provide an opportunity for non-profit organizations like yours to showcase their work and provide resources at no cost to your organization.

If you haven’t been to Living in the Natural Environment before, here are a few details:

The purpose of this evening is to present a series of topical presentations that are of interest to the rural community. Typically our audience of between 100-140 participants is made up of traditional rural landowners, new rural acreage owners, government staff from various levels and departments, and a few from neighbouring urban municipalities.

Doors open at 4pm, the first speaker is from 4:30-5:30pm. Dinner is at 6:00, and there is a second speaker after dinner starting at 7:15pm. As you can see from the schedule, we try to provide opportunities for participants to wander around and view displays. We also set up a coffee station in the display area before the event as well as the pre-dinner bar. After dinner we try to encourage traffic to the booths.

As a non-profit organization there is no charge for the booth space, or for attending the sessions as a displayer, and it is not a requirement that the displays be manned at all times, during the presentations, we encourage everyone to attend. The only cost would be if you wished to attend the dinner which would be $35 per person to help cover the cost of the catering. The Hall of Vision has enough space for about 9 displays.

Please reply as quickly as possible if this is something in which your organization would like to participate. Email: [email protected]
