International Cooperation to Align Fossil Fuel Production with a 1.5ºC World

September 25, 2020 - 9:00am to 10:30am

The Fossil Fuel Non-Proliferation Treaty initiative is hosting a virtual event at NYC Climate Week on September 25 focused on the need for international cooperation to phase out fossil fuels and fast track an equitable energy transition. We’d love for you to join us and share this invitation with others.

The event will bring together civil society, academic and government leaders from around the world. They will discuss the need for international cooperation to close the gap between production plans and emission reduction goals to ensure workers, communities and countries most dependent on fossil fuels are supported to make the transition away from coal, oil and gas. They will discuss a bold new idea for a framework to achieve this just transition – a Fossil Fuel Non-Proliferation Treaty.
