Sheryl McCumsey, co-ordinator for Pesticide Free Edmonton, will be giving a presentation about the harmful effects of the pesticide Chlorpyrifos.
This pesticide is used throughout and around our city. The presentation will include how this is not being properly evaluated by Health Canada and what we can do about it. Edmonton remains the last municipality in Canada to use this for mosquito larvae. The event will take place at the University of Alberta Education Building South room 122.
The event starts at 12:00pm and will end at roughly 12:45 with a fifteen minute question period.
Admissison is free. Some refreshments will be available.
We will be accepting donations for the group 'Pesticide Free Edmonton'.
