Call for Delegates: Clean Air Strategic Alliance Board of Directors

The Clean Air Strategic Alliance (CASA) is a multi-stakeholder organization made up of representatives of industry, government, and environmental organizations which develops and recommends strategies to assess and improve air quality in Alberta. Detailed information on CASA is available on their website.

CASA is governed by a board of directors who are appointed by their sectors in accordance with the principle of sectoral self-selection. There are six ENGO representatives on the CASA board; nominally three Directors and three Alternates, with Alternates having the same participation rights as the primary Directors.

AEN is conducting a delegate selection of fill one vacant board position.

Time Commitment: 

CASA Board members attend quarterly board meetings and serve on board committes.

Expenses & Honoraria: 

CASA reimburses expenses and pays a stakeholder support per diem.

Selection Criteria: 
  1. Member of an AEN member group in good standing.
  2. Experience or familiarity with CASA and its project teams.
  3. Experience or familiarity with air quality issues and/or management.
  4. Willingness to work within a multi-stakeholder process and network with the AEN Clean Air Energy Caucus.

The democratic selection process is proposed to take place at the Clean Air and Energy Caucus conference call during  the last week of February 2013.
