CPAWS Northern Alberta Annual General Meeting

The event will start at 6:30pm and features a presentation by Dr. Rick Schneider about climate change and biodiversity in Alberta.

 

There will be food and a cash bar, and a raffle for some great prizes.

 

Doors open at 6:30pm. See you there!

Emerald Day Community Reception

Please join us at Emerald Day in Fort McMurray and BE INSPIRED!

Emerald Day is a community environmental showcase event, with displays, talks and networking.  This community reception event will feature a special presentation by Simon Jackson, one of Time Magazine's 60 Heroes for the Planet.  Simon will be speaking at about 6:15pm and will then be available for questions and connecting.

Emerald Day is presented by Syncrude Canada, with support from Newalta and organized by the Alberta Emerald Foundation.  The Alberta Emerald Foundation is a provincial charity committed to recognize, celebrate and inspire environmental excellence, best known for hosting the annual Emerald Awards.

Emerald Day is free to attend, and the community reception event includes complimentary hors d'oeuvres and bar.

We are excited for this year’s Wild Soiree event which will take place at Hotel Arts in Calgary.  Harvey Locke, our guest speaker of the evening and CPAWS' J.B. Harkin Award recipient for 2013, will introduce us to the conservation initiative: Nature Needs Half.  The evening will include a jazz band, appetizers, cocktails, silent auction, and  more!  The Wild Soiree will also celebrate our 2014 Capture the Wild Photo Contest winners.
