Volunteer Opportunity: Kick-starting Conservation

Sep 28 2012 - 4:00pm to 10:00pm

We need your help setting up the new boundary fence so we can kick-start our stewardship plans on a beautiful property in the Waterton Park Front! Join us for a hands-on day of demolition and help delineate the eastern property boundary by working with us to remove one mile of old fence so a new fence can be installed on the official property line. This property is a valuable piece of the NCC's conservation puzzle in the Waterton Park Front - a 30,000 acre conservation area surrounding Waterton Lakes National Park! Volunteer Opportunity: An Absence of Absinthe

Sep 13 2012 - 3:30pm to 9:30pm

The Nature Conservancy has a few exciting volunteer opportunities coming up and we want to get the word out!

Absinthe wormwood is an extremely aggressive invasive species in Canada and establishes in pastures and ranges which can have significant impacts on the quality of forage for wildlife. Join us for a day in the field as we work to remove absinthe wormwood from the Collins property- a 155 acre piece of land that is a key piece in NCC's growing network of protected wetlands in the area. Once we’ve tackled the wormwood, we’ll have the chance to explore and learn about the area with an interpretive nature walk. Read more about Volunteer Opportunity: An Absence of Absinthe
