Music For the Wild: Rob Heath with guests Christie Simmons & Brian Volke
Folk and Roots Music—for the whole family!
This third year for AWA's Music for the Wild series features a range of local musicians performing in support of Alberta's wild spaces.
A storyteller in the tradition of Harry Chapin, John Prine and Steve Earle, Rob Heath's original songs are a tasteful mix of contemporary folk, alt-country and pop. His one-man one guitar style is diverse melodically and rhythmically but always interesting. We all have things we wish we could say. Rob decided to say them with rich melodies and lyrics delivered in a voice haunting in its simplicity.

Red Wine, Blue Cheese, Green Art Gala
There is a strong natural affinity between the arts and the environment. This is especially true in Calgary, where many artists draw inspiration from the incredible natural environment around them. Art and design have unique abilities to engage, inspire and move people toward a more sustainable world. This gala is a celebration of local sustainability - a celebration of the connection between art and the environment, showcasing environmentally-themed work by local artists and supporting the great work Green Calgary does to help Calgarians live sustainably.
