Climb and Run for Wilderness

On April 26 bring the whole family to join the Alberta Wilderness Association at the Climb and Run for Wilderness. Participants have the chance to climb the 802 stairs of the Calgary Tower, see the murals of the “tallest gallery in the west” and raise money to protect Wild Alberta. Each year almost 2,000 people, from babies in backpacks to 94 years old take part and support Alberta’s wilderness legacy and the conservation and education work that goes into protecting it. But keeping these natural areas clean, safe and sustainable is a big job, which is one of the reasons the City of Edmonton’s Office of Biodiversity created the Master Naturalist Program.
