RCA Newsflash "Alberta Paint Stewardship Program"

Recycling Council of Alberta

Alberta Environment announced that beginning April 1, 2008, leftover paint and empty paint containers will be collected and recycled under a new provincial stewardship program. Assistant Deputy Minister Bev Yee sent a letter to stakeholders introducing the program's purpose and background, and also announcing upcoming consultation sessions. The Alberta Recycling Management Authority has been delegated to manage the new program. Read More

The Recycling Council of Alberta Business Development Committee would like to assist and support the green procurement movement by providing current information on available “green products and services”, and “existing green procurement policies”. 2cg Inc. is working with the RCA to conduct research on green procurement. The purpose of this research is to provide information and to help those that are considering establishing a green procurement program.
