Update on the Alberta Energy Regulator

In December 2012, the Government of Alberta passed the Responsible Energy Development Act which creates a single regulator for upstream oil, gas, oil sands and coal projects in Alberta. The regulator will assume the regulatory functions that are currently the resposibility of the Energy Resouces Conservation Board and the Ministry of Environment & Sustainable Resource Development.

As part of the Alberta Environmental Network's Spring Meetings, presenters from Alberta Energy and the Pembina Institute will provide an update on the Alberta Energy Regulator.
