Hi Everyone:
Andy Van Imschoot of Parks and Protected Areas made arrangement for the Foundation to see the work that is being done to combat the mountain pine beetle that is encroaching over the divide from British Columbia. As a result of a helicopter ride, we have been able to place an update on www.WillmoreWilderessPark.com. The update is taken from Rob Harris's Updates who is a MPB Information Officer. We are spending most of our time in the mountains and are hard to contact as a result. We will update everyone later this fall regarding the trail clearing progress in the Winter 2005 Newsletter that will be mailed out in November.
We have committed to three fund raisers in early 2006 -- so mark your calendars. They are as follows:
3rd Willmore Wilderness Annual Fundraiser - Edmonton March 25, 2006
The 3rd Willmore Wilderness Annual Fundraiser will be held at the Coast Terrace Inn in Edmonton on March 25, 2006. The event will be held in the Ball Room. Dinner tickets are $60.00 per person. Cocktails will be at 5 pm and Dinner at 6 pm. This event will feature a banquet, live & silent auction, displays, a Willmore Wilderness PowerPoint presentation and more.
