The Clean Air Strategic Alliance (CASA) is developing a new Clean Air Strategy for Alberta. As you may be aware, CASA brings together representatives from industry, government and non-government organizations to develop recommendations for managing air quality issues in Alberta. The Clean Air Strategy will provide a framework for existing and future clean air initiatives and serve as the foundation for the Government of Alberta’s long-term strategy for clean air. In order to develop a Clean Air Strategy that incorporates all of Alberta, CASA is launching a public consultation called Clear the Air: A Clean Air Strategy for a Healthy Alberta.
The intent of the public consultation is to engage stakeholders and all interested Albertans in an opportunity to air their views on air quality. We invite you to participate in the Clear the Air: A Clean Air Strategy for a Healthy Alberta discussion in a number of ways:
- Review the discussion guide and complete the survey online at www.clearairalberta.ca (or fax it to 780.422.3127). The purpose of this guide - which is a crucial component of the public consultation – is to help frame the discussion at the town hall meetings on air quality in Alberta and engage stakeholders in the process of developing a new Clean Air Strategy for the province.
