NGOs Working Together to Encourage Sustainable Consumption
My Sustainable Canada, a national NGO focusing on sustainable consumption (SC), is calling on groups who are interested in sharing ideas on SC to join them in creating an RCEN Working Group surrounding this important issue. In Western nations, overconsumption of goods and services puts our planet at risk socially, environmentally and economically. There is an evident need to define a regional approach to advance SC in Canada. Should there be sufficient interest; an informal meeting will be held at the RCEN AGA in October, with the option of joining the meeting by conference call.
