Celebrate Earth Day on April 22nd!

The snow is melting, birds are singing and the sun is warm - it's time to put away your winter jacket and go play outside! This April 22nd, celebrate Earth Day by taking part in one of the many activities being planned across the country. Many of these events will be taking place this weekend, so please visit Earth Day Canada's website and start planning the celebration!

Participate in the Civil Society Response to Bisphenol-A Draft Assessment

Following the soon to be released draft assessment on Bisphenol-A (BPA) by Health Canada, there will be a 60-day comment period during which civil society can provide input and make recommendations on the management of BPA in Canada. BPA is one of the chemicals currently under review under the Chemicals Management Plan (CMP) Challenge.

The RCEN plans to coordinate a civil society response to this assessment as part of its CMP Capacity Building Project. NGOs that are interested in collaborating on this response should contact leela [at] cen-rce [dot] org (Leela Ramachandran), National Caucus Coordinator, at (613) 728-9810 ext. 223.

Note: the deadline for submissions to the E-Bulletin is Mondays at 11am. Please send 100 words or less (English and French) to bulletin [at] cen-rce [dot] org. The next Edition will be published on Wednesday, April 23th, 2008.
