The Recycling Council of Alberta is pleased to announce its 2008 Waste Reduction Conference "Paint the Town Green" to be held October 8-10, 2008, at the beautiful Jasper Park Lodge in Jasper, Alberta.

Our keynote speaker will be Andrew Nisker, Canadian writer and director of Garbage! The Revolution Starts at Home, a film that features an average urban family who keep all the garbage they produce for three months.

The conference will also feature a wide variety of topics and sessions, and potential speakers are welcome to submit ideas for presentations on progressive waste reduction topics, including zero waste, effective education/promotion, and leading-edge technologies.

Always famous for its entertainment, the RCA has plans this year for an Oktoberfest banquet, as well as an “Are You Smarter Than a Fourth-Grader?” waste quiz show.

A wide choice of sponsorship opportunities to suit all budgets will also be available this year. Potential speakers and sponsors are invited to contact the RCA at 403.843.6563 or [email protected].
