2008 Toyota Earth Day Scholarship Program

Do you know an emerging environmental leader?

From St. John's to Tofino, high school students are making a difference in their local communities and impacting our country as a whole through their committed involvement in volunteer and extracurricular environmental activities. Toyota Canada Inc. and Earth Day Canada, through the Toyota Earth Day Scholarship Program, take pride in acknowledging the valuable work of these students and rewarding their efforts as they move on to post-secondary studies.

The Toyota Earth Day Scholarship Program offers 15 scholarships of $5 000 each to high school students entering their first year of college or university. Active students from all walks of life, regardless of their preferred program of study, are encouraged to apply. One exceptional student, chosen from the 15 regional scholarship winners, will also be presented with the Toyota Earth Day Scholarship National Award and a Panasonic notebook computer at a National Award Ceremony.

Please help us find the emerging environmental leaders of tomorrow by visiting www.earthday.ca/scholarship for more information or to download the application. The deadline for applications is January 31, 2008.

Earth Day Canada (EDC) is a national environmental communications organization mandated to improve the state of the environment by empowering Canadians to achieve local solutions. Since 1991, EDC has been coordinating Earth Day/Earth Month events, and creating successful community programs and award-winning artistic and media projects. To date, $350 000 has been awarded to 70 exceptional young Canadians through the Toyota Earth Day Scholarship Program.
