Alberta Royalty Review Panel Public Meeting

Albertans living in and around Edmonton have the opportunity to share their views about Alberta&#39;s royalty and tax regime during three days of public meetings, beginning May 14. You can be connected toll-free by first calling 310-0000.</p><p>Members of the public and media who wish to observe the proceedings are welcome to attend without registering, but space may be limited. The meetings will be held from May 14 to May 16, beginning at 9 a.m. each day, at the Delta South Edmonton Hotel and Convention Centre, 4404 Gateway Boulevard.</p><p>The Royalty Review Panel is hosting public meetings to gather input from interested Albertans and stakeholders as the panel examines the province&#39;s royalty and tax regime to ensure Albertans are receiving a fair share from energy development through royalties, taxes and fees.</p><p>During previous meetings held in Grande Prairie on April 23 and 24, the panel heard a total of 12 presentations from Alberta residents, municipal leaders, and stakeholders in the oil and gas industry. Additional meetings are scheduled in Calgary (May 22 to 24), Fort McMurray (June 4 to 6), and Medicine Hat (June 18 to 20).</p><p>Information about Alberta&#39;s royalty structure, locations of public meetings, and how to make submissions online, by fax or by mail is also available by visiting <a href="http://www.albertaroyaltyreview.ca/" title="www.albertaroyaltyreview.ca">www.albertaroyaltyreview.ca</a>. The final deadline for submissions is June 22.</p><p>A list of presenters registered to address the panel in Edmonton will be available on the website on May 11.</p><p>The royalty review is part of Premier Ed Stelmach&#39;s plan to build a stronger Alberta.
