<p><a href="http://AlbertaWilderness.ca">Alberta Wilderness Association</a></p><p>Release Date: April 5, 2007</p><p>On April 21, over 1,000 people will gather at the Calgary Tower to celebrate Alberta's wild legacy as part of the Earth Day weekend. Joining the throngs of climbers, runners, and volunteers at the 16th Annual Climb & Run for Wilderness will be the very people and organizations whose ongoing efforts directly support our province's natural heritage.</p><p>"Just as our Climb event is a celebration of our incredibly beautiful and diverse world, the Wild Alberta Expo is a celebration of all the hard work people do so others can be informed and active citizens in protecting nature," says Christyann Olson, executive director of the Alberta Wilderness Association which hosts the annual Earth Day event.</p><p>With more than 20 organizations, groups and individuals showcasing their work, the Expo is a sure way to learn all about the daily efforts that go into protecting our wilderness.
