Call for Nominations for the 2007 Canadian Excellence in Environmental Education Awards

Calling all Environmental Educators!

It is time to nominate your favorite and much-deserving colleague, NGO and/or institution for an award!

What Is EECOM?

EECOM is the Canadian Network for Environmental Education and Communications - a national, not-for-profit organization whose mission is to engage Canadians in learning about their environment. It enables teachers in both the formal education system as well as educators and communicators in all other sectors of Canadian society to work together in ways that nurture environmentally informed and responsible individuals, organizations and communities. EECOM has broad-based representation from many disciplines and professions. It is multi-sectoral and multi-regional, and this concept permeates both the structure and mandate of this all-volunteer network.

What are the Canadian Excellence in Environmental Education Awards?

Any individual or organization, regardless of whether they are a member of EECOM, can nominate an outstanding Canadian individual and/or institution for an award. Nominations will be accepted in either English or French and all nominations will be evaluated by those fluent in these languages. Once again EECOM has chosen to retain an electronic nominations process this year, which will save time, trees and energy.

Please also note that there is a nominations form included as part of the package, to make the process even easier.
