Call for Delegates: Lakeland Industry and Community Associatoin

The AEN has received a request from the Lakeland Industry and Community Association (LICA) for assistance in identifying an ENGO sector who could serve as a participant in the LICA Airshed Zone.

Background

LICA is a community-based not-for-profit association whose main goals are to provide residents with a timely response to concerns identified in the Lakeland area and to ensure that growing development is conducted in a responsible manner. LICA serves the area west to Range 9, north to the top of the Cold Lake Air Weapons Range, east to the Saskatchewan border, and south to Highway 45.

Time Commitment: The Airshed Zone has monthly meetings which are usually in Bonnyville, and are usually on the third Wednesday of the month.

Expense Policy: Receipted expense reimbursement and a stipend can be made available with the approval of LICA.

Criteria

  • willingness and experience engaging in multi-stakeholder air quality initiatives;
  • resident or working in or near the LICA area.

Selection Process

The AEN will review the submissions with the co-chair of LICA to prepare a membership recommendation.
