The Alberta Environmental Network (AEN) is a non-profit, non-partisan umbrella organization comprised of groups throughout the province dedicated to helping preserve and protect Alberta's environment.

The AEN is seeking a responsible, organized and dynamic individual to support the work of the AEN in the role of Network Manager. The role of the Network Manager will include but is not limited to the following:

  • Answers email, phone calls, direct inquiries from AEN members, and liaise with public and government officials.
  • Maintain the administrative functions of the AEN (filing, organizing, housekeeping, corporate filings, contract management, etc).
  • Organize meetings (regular board meetings, meetings of the network as a whole, and other meetings for members such as training or special projects)
  • Co-ordinate volunteer fundraising events (for example, one annual casino fundraiser).
  • Provide strategic support to AEN caucuses with meeting coordination, contract and grant development, execution and reporting.
  • Communicate and liase with the Canadian Environment Network (RCEN).
  • Work closely with the network’s web-master and book-keeper to provide support and advice on the day-to-day operations of the network.
  • Liaise with public and government officials, funders, and partnership organizations.
