Aug 16 2008 - 10:30am - Aug 17 2008 - 3:00pm

Cochrane Ecological Institute

We are in the process of working on the spectacular (soon to be anyway) Landscape Wall at the Cochrane Ecological Institute! This is a straw bale constructed interpretive and living wall! If you are interested in sustainable building construction, wildlife and art, then this is a volunteer opportunity not to be missed!

Please join us at the Cochrane Ecological Institute (map attached) on

  • Sunday August 3 at 10:30am (Monday workers welcome — bring your tent if you want to stay)
  • Saturday August 16 at 10:30 am - Sunday August 17 until mid afternoon. Camping

Incentives beyond becoming part of history and helping wildlife…

BBQ supper for herbivores, omnivores and carnivores! Interpretive program of the Cochrane Ecological Institute and Tour (meet baby animals, Owls, Swift fox, Bison, Elk and more! Learn about Endangered Species Reintroduction).

Please bring your own lunch, snacks and plenty of drinking water. Camping on Saturday August 16 — bring your necessary camping gear for the night and any 'party' essentials such as instruments!

If we have enough volunteers to work on the wall, then we will also work on the Native Gardens and the Swift fox enclosure.
