Update on the Alberta Energy Regulator

Jun 1 2013 - 10:00am - 12:00pm

In December 2012, the Government of Alberta passed the Responsible Energy Development Act which creates a single regulator for upstream oil, gas, oil sands and coal projects in Alberta. The regulator will assume the regulatory functions that are currently the resposibility of the Energy Resouces Conservation Board and the Ministry of Environment & Sustainable Resource Development.

As part of the Alberta Environmental Network's Spring Meetings, presenters from Alberta Energy and the Pembina Institute will provide an update on the Alberta Energy Regulator.

10:00am-11:30am Update on the Alberta Energy Regulator
Cynthia Farmer, Assistant Deputy Minister, Alberta Energy
11:30am-12:00noon Alberta Energy Regulator: an ENGO Perspective
Duncan Kenyon, Pembina Insitute

There is no cost to attend the presentation, but the Network requests that you register in advance.
