Sierra Club Chinook Group Meeting: Climate Change & the lead up to Copenhagen

Oct 7 2009 - 7:00pm

Panel Discussion on Climate Change and the Lead up to the Copenhagen Discussions this fall.

For our October meeting, we have another Panel Discussion, this one on Climate Change and the lead up to Copenhagen 2009 (COP 15), the United Nations Climate Conference, in December. For this discussion we will be joined by three of Calgary’s leaders in the climate discussion:

  • The University of Calgary’s Mishka Lysack, who has been helping organize the 350.org International Day of Climate Action on October 24th,
  • The Pembina Institute’s Alex Doukas, participant in the Canadian Youth Delegation to the climate conferences, and
  • Climate Change Central’s Adam Gagnon, who is at the forefront of consumer action to reduce our impact on climate change.

The Sierra Club Chinook Group holds a free, monthly public meeting at 7 pm on the first Wednesday of each month at the Calgary Area Outdoor Council building (1111 Memorial Drive NW, upstairs, entrance at the back).
