ReThink Red Deer Community Cafe

Feb 24 2011 - 6:30pm - 9:00pm

On the evening of February 24th (6:30pm-9pm) the conference doors will open wide to all Albertans.

Inside will be a special gathering; a series of inspiring (and free!) presentations on how local groups and individuals are strengthening their communities. The presentations will be scheduled in an 'open space' format and delivered by the "Pecha Kucha" method of storytelling. We'll gather together and tell the stories that will spread like wildfire!

The Line-UP for the Evening Includes:

  • Eliese Watson - Urban Beekeeping
  • Lauren Mangion - Healthy Homes / Green Calgary
  • Rob Avis - Verge Permaculture
  • Michelle Colussi - Transition Towns
  • Steve Schultz - Lacombe High School
  • James Marland - Natural Law
  • TanjaLee Kuhl - Canada World Youth
  • Mary Beckie - University of Alberta
  • Lauren Maris - Environmental Services (City of RD)
  • Xina Chrapko - En Sante Organic Winery and Meadery
  • Barb Hazenveld - Gorgeous & Edibles Landscaping
  • Ashley Lubyk - Dirt Craft Natural Building
  • Johann Kyser - Team Canada Solar Decathlon 2011

Presented by ReThink Red Deer and RDC Green Campus, this Community Cafe is for lighthearted and enjoyable discussions about the great things happening in and around our community. This evening will also be your one-time-only access to the P2S marketplace displays, and a tour of the College's new Four Centres trades wing. So, bring your friends and family - this is an evening to remember!
