Rally Opposing the Transfer of Goldbar to EPCOR

Jan 18 2009 - 12:00pm

Edmonton City Council is considering transferring the city owned Goldbar Wastewater Treatment Plant to EPCOR. Although owned by the City of Edmonton, EPCOR operates as a private corporation with no public oversight. EPCOR wants to sell water from the Goldbar plant to Upgrader Alley and projects such as the Dodds-Roundhill mine. Also, this is a another step towards water privatization.

Join Western Canada Wilderness Committee, Rewild Alberta! and others to tell City Council we want democratic control of our water and don't give Goldbar to EPCOR.
