Open House: Edmonton's Net Zero Energy homes

Mar 14 2009 - 11:00am - 4:30pm

The interest in net zero energy houses continues to grow. The Riverdale NetZero energy house is open for tours and will soon be occupied by its new owners; the Mill Creek NZE house is now fully insulated; the Belgravia NZE house starts construction in May; the South Windsor Park NZE house is being designed. We are learning so much about the costs and performance of these revolutionary houses and are seeing more and more opportunities for optimisation and cost reduction.

We have learned so much from the Riverdale NetZero energy house and are putting it all into practice in the next NZE houses.

To show people how it all works in the worst of our weather, we are holding a mid-winter open house of both of Edmonton's two first two net zero energy homes.

Cost: free
Registration: not needed
Shoes: please bring slippers or socks to wear inside the Riverdale house because we don't want the nice floors soiled

Please see the attached flyer for details.

Come see and feel how the houses work, how the energy systems work, and feel what it would be like to live in one of them. Team members will be on site to answer your questions.

You are welcome to pass this around to your friends, colleagues and networks and post the poster on your bulletin boards.

Sincerely,
Gordon Howell
