Jane’s Walk: Downtown Sustainability Stroll

May 2 2015 - 12:00pm

Are you looking for an opportunity to get to know your city a little bit better? How about a unique way to learn more about sustainability and Edmonton’s efforts at becoming an environmentally friendly low carbon city? Here's your chance.

You'll meet Robyn Webb from City Environmental Strategies Section in the City Room for the Downtown Sustainability Stroll Jane’s Walk.

Jane’s Walk is an annual series of neighbourhood walking tours named after a writer and urban activist. These free walks are led by interested, knowledgeable volunteers who will engage you in conversation about their particular topic.

This tour will highlight the innovative ways the City of Edmonton and Edmonton businesses have reduced their impact on the environment within the heart of our city. Robyn will also share information about the general state of the environment in Edmonton and the City of Edmonton's goals for sustainability and energy transition.

Be prepared for the weather and a walk of just under two kilometers that starts and ends at City Hall.

Location

City Hall - City Room (bottom of stairs to Council Chambers)
1 Sir Winston Churchill Square
