Fourth Annual Party in THE Park
Celebrating Calgary's First Pesticide-Free Park
New Edinborough Park is now famous across Alberta for being the first Calgary park to go pesticide-free and providing the impetus for the city to phase out cosmetic pesticides.
- Potluck breakfast 8-11 with extra pancakes and fruit salad (the latter compliments of Sunnyside Market). Bring food, plate, and cutlery
- Flea market 9-2 from vehicles park on the street and in the park on tables provided, no fee
- Musical performances: All Day by: Paul Millar, THe Sadlier-brown band, Rocketaco, Phil Hoffman, Ours to Destroy, The Bownesians, Sunnyside Garageband, Sadlier-Brown & the Sound
- Prizes for dandelion pulling; your own dandidigger!
- Witness “Spirit of White Buffalo” 11-3
- Bring your bike: Bike Root tuneup help and the CAOS Kids Mutant Bike workshop:10-3
- Plywood Needed: Sunnyside School wood fish creation activity in preparation for the fall school fence installation
- Street hockey and soccer
- Updates on the new Blue Box recycling and Sunnyside Orchard projects and the August 16 Memorial Drive event.
- Fundraising for the Wood Buffalo Sculpture and promotion of HSCA/City of Calgary Walking Tour.
