Fences Gone Vinyl: Nature Conservancy of Canada Volunteer Event

Aug 11 2012 - 8:30am - 5:00pm

Join the Nature Conservancy of Canada for a day of conservation action and learn more about the unique grassland ecosystem. Fencing, among other things, has been to blame for the drastic decline of the sage grouse. Currently only 13 identified male sage grouse remain in Alberta. Be part of an initiative to decrease wildlife collisions with fences as we install vinyl fence clips along 16km of fence line to increase visibility to wildlife. For more information and to take part, please visit our website www.conservationvolunteers.ca or contact alberta [at] conservationvolunteers [dot] ca.
