Earth Day Celebration: Small is Beautiful

Earth's General Store is working with the Edmonton Earth Day Festival to host an intimate mini Earth Day Celebration - 'Small is Beautiful' on April 20, 2013 from 11am to 4pm.

Mainstage entertainment

  • City proclamation at 12:00
  • Main stage music by John Spearn and Paula Che Kirman
  • Yoga Demonstrations by Noorish Yoga
  • Presentation by Greenpeace with their "Save the Arctic Campaign" (time TBA)
  • Walk about fashion shows of recycled material creations by "Garbaganza".

  • Edmonton Bicycle Commuters (also providing free bike lock up)

Earth's General Store has a small parking lot to hold all this activity and as such we will be closing the parking lot to all vehicle traffic for the day to ensure the safety of those attending the event. Regular customers of Earth's General Store and Adara Hair & Body Studio are asked to park in the parking lot of the Sai Baba Centre (directly west of our store and behind Mill Creek Picture Framing shop).

Please try and cycle, walk, bus, car pool to the event. Please be respectful of the community, our neighbours, support our local businesses, and park respectfully.
