Citizens as Climate Leaders – A Film Screening and Panel with David Suzuki

This event is the local premiere of the film Climate Change in Atlantic Canada and will be followed by a panel entitled "Citizens as Climate Leaders" with Dr. David Suzuki, researcher, Dr. Ian Mauro, filmmaker, and Eriel Deranger, Athabasca Chipewyan First Nation. Dialogue will focus on the kinds of leadership needed to face our collective future in a time of climate change, and how to learn, practice, and share this leadership.

Suggested contribution is $20 per person, while those with the means to pay more are encouraged to contribute a maximum of $40 per person. However, students and anyone unable to afford this amount are welcome to pay the minimum of $10 each.

This event is brought to you by Alberta Climate DialogueAlberta Public Interest Research Group, the City of Edmonton and theUniversity of Alberta’s Office of Sustainability

Event proceeds will go to The Local Good’s Resiliency Fair and University of Alberta’s Green Grants program, supporting recipients to deliver programming focused on sustainability leadership and climate change. Child care will be offered at the venue; please email Saima at volunteer [at] apirg [dot] org by April 14 to arrange this.
