Chinook Group Monthly Meeting: Green Business Panel Discussion

Mar 3 2009 - 7:00pm

Our next monthly public meeting is on Tuesday (a day earlier than usual)

Topic: Green Business Panel Discussion

In conjunction with REAP (Respect the Earth and All People) the Sierra Club Chinook Group will be hosting a panel discussion on buying green and shopping locally.

REAP Business Association was founded in 2006 with the vision to create a vibrant living economy where citizens understand and value the impact of shopping locally. REAP members are Calgary businesses with visionary leaders who are concerned about helping to create a more sustainable city. They make ethical business decisions – buying green power, paying their employees a living wage, supporting local suppliers and giving back to their community – because they believe in the importance of corporate social responsibility. By supporting these companies, citizens enhance their quality of life and actively express their highest values.

The Sierra Club Chinook Group holds a free, monthly public meeting at 7 pm on the first Wednesday of each month (except next month!) at the Calgary Area Outdoor Council building (1111 Memorial Drive NW, upstairs, entrance at the back). If you have any questions or to RSVP (optional), email SC CG Meetings Coordinator Alex Taylor at alex [at] sierraclubchinook [dot] org.
