Castle-Crown Wilderness Coalition Annual General Meeting

May 30 2015 - 10:00am - 3:00pm

Please join the Castle-Crown Wilderness Coalition for our Annual General Meeting, Saturday May 30. The business meeting of the AGM will begin at 10:00 AM. Once the business is completed a representative from Alberta Tourism Parks and Recreation will speak with us on the SSRP designations, followed by lunch.

Phil Hazelton and Connie Simmons have again graciously offered to have us hold our AGM at their home in the Gladstone Valley. Lunch and soft beverages will be served. To help us in preparing lunch please RSVP to James and advise of any dietary issues, at 403-628-2422 or via email to whaleback [dot] 2012 [at] gmail [dot] com, and remember to bring a lawn chair as we will be outside, weather permitting.

We do need a couple of volunteers to help out with lunch. If you can help please let James know at 403-628-2422.

Directions to the AGM:

Heading west from Pincher Creek on Hwy 507, continue west, cross Mill Creek and then turn left onto Gladstone Valley Road near the top of the hill after the creek crossing. Follow Gladstone Valley Road - when you come to the intersection with Notch Road, stay on the paved road that turns left, do not go straight to the graveled Notch Road.  Continue for another 2 kms on the paved road until you see a house on a side-hill on your right (beige stucco with dark green trim, large deck, old wagon at the gate). Come on in!

Coming from Hwy 3 and Burmis Road intersection, head south on Hwy 507 to Beaver Mines, go through Beaver Mines (slowly) – look for Notch Road on your left just after you leave the hamlet (100 metres) – it will have a ‘Grumpy’s Greenhouse’ sign on it... and the angle of the road exit is hard to see, so look sharp.   Follow Notch Road (gravelled) up and over the ‘Notch’ into the Gladstone Valley.  When you get to the intersection with Gladstone Valley Road (it will be paved) turn right, go 2 kms and look for the house (description above) on your right.

Hope we will see you there,

Carolyn Aspeslet
