BikeWorks Volunteer Orientation

May 26 2010 - 6:30pm
May 28 2010 - 6:30pm

To make BikeWorks as accessible as possible, we need as many volunteers as possible!  Anyone interested in volunteering at our community bike shop is invited to join us for an orientation.  We’ll give you the grand tour, fill you in on all the details and get you ready to confidently help out, either as a mechanic, greeter or wherever your skill set may lie.  Orientations will take approximately one hour.  The first two are scheduled for Wednesday May 26 and Friday May 28 and will begin at 6:30 PM at BikeWorks (10047-80 Avenue).  Snacks and drinks will be provided.  If you would like to get involved please try and attend!

Email hindle [at] edmontonbikes [dot] ca for more information and to RSVP.

Don’t worry if you aren’t certain of your mechanical skills.  We’ll be offering ongoing mechanical training for volunteers and no one expects you to know everything!  Aren’t too keen on wrenching but still want to help?  We also need volunteer greeters to welcome people into the shop, sell memberships, accept payment and so on.  Either way, please come for a volunteer orientation where all your questions will be answered.
