  • The Arusha Centre presents two new books on Alberta's tar sands, come and meet both authors: Andrew Nikiforuk: "Tar Sands:Dirty Oil and the Future of a Continent" & Tony Clarke: "Tar Sands Showdown: Canada and the New Politics of Oil in an Age of Climate Change". Cosponsored by Public Interest Alberta and the Parkland Institute
  • The Arusha Info-Active Resource Library will be dedicated to the memory of Nashil Lallani who was instrumental in setting up the library resources. Nash's family and friends will be in attendance.
  • This is also a Appreciation Event for The Friends of Arusha - Calgarians whose monthly donations make a huge impact on the work Arusha does in the City. check www.arusha.org to become a Friend.
  • We'll be serving up snacks and you can buy beer, wine, juice with Calgary Dollars - a great way to acknowledge Buy Nothing Day.
