AEN Spring Meetings: Right to a Healthy Environment — Linda Duncan

Jun 13 2015 - 1:00pm

Speaker: Linda Duncan, MP Edmonton-Strathcona

In October 2014, Opposition MP Linda Duncan introduced "An Act to Establish a Canadian Environmental Bill of Rights” in Parliament. If enacted, the bill would legally enshrine environmental rights for Canadians and the duty of the federal government to take action to protect the environment.

Linda Duncan is a well-known figure in the Alberta environmental community with a long record of championing the environment both at the grassroots/NGO level as well as at all levels of government. Since 2008, Linda has served in the House of Commons as Member of Parliament for the riding of Edmonton-Strathcona.

This event is part of the 2015 AEN Spring Meetings. The public is welcome to attend, but please register online or RSVP to admin [at] aenweb [dot] ca.
