Call for Delegates: Project Team Member, Non-Point Source Pollution Project Team

Position:
Project Team Member
Initiative:
Non-Point Source Pollution Project Team
Application Deadline:
18 Nov 2011

The AEN Water Caucus is seeking to replace our previous AEN delegate to the AWC Non-Point Source Pollution Project Team. Deadline to indicate interest is Friday, November 18, 2011. Delegate selection will occur by nomination and election at a special meeting of the AEN Water Caucus for the week ending November 25, 2011.

The Council, through its “Recommended Projects to Advance the Goal of Healthy Aquatic Ecosystems” recognized an opportunity to gain a better understanding of the contributions of non-point source pollution and the policies and tools that can minimize their impacts. Work in this area appears to align nicely with the Government of Alberta’s new direction to address impacts of all activities on the landscape through a cumulative effects management approach.

  • Represent the interests of the environmental sector.
  • Report regularly to the AEN Water Caucus (monthly).
