The NRCB delivers the Agricultural Operation Practices Act (AOPA) and provides broad governance, administrative policy, and appeals. The Policy Advisory Group (PAG) is a multi-stakeholder advisory committee that provides advice to the Chief Executive Officer of the NRCB on matters related to the effective delivery of the AOPA.  ENGOs have been represented on the PAG since its inception by the Southern Alberta Group for the Environment and the Environmental Law Centre. Two alternate positions are also vacant.

Alberta Environmental Network is recruiting a successor ENGO member and two alternates.

Time Commitment: 

 The Policy Advisory Group meets twice per year. PAG members
are also requested to review documents as needed between meetings.

Alternate members are also able to participate in PAG meeting alongside primary members.

Expenses & Honoraria: 

Travel expenses and per diems are available for service on this group.

Selection Criteria: 
  1. Alberta-based ENGO and AEN member in good standing
  2. General understanding of AOPA and administrative policy
  3. Multi-stakeholder committee experience and commitment to cross-sector relationship building
  4. Willingness to network with an appropriate AEN reference group (AEN Agriculture Caucus)
  5. Record of filing submissions or publications on CFO issues
