AUMA is currently developing a water conservation and efficiency plan for the municipal sector in support of Alberta’s “Water for Life” strategy. Work has commenced on the first draft of the plan and input from a Team of Experts, the AUMA Sustainability and Environment Standing Committee and a Multi-Stakeholder Group will lead to the development of a final draft in November. At that time, there will be a water workshop to share the key points of the plan with AUMA members and to establish targets for water conservation and efficiency in Alberta municipalities.
