Call for Delegate: CASA Indoor Air Quality Project Team

The Alberta Environmental Network is seeking a representative to serve on the Clean Air Strategic Alliance's Indoor Air Quality Project Team. This delegate will serve as a replacement for a member who is stepping down.

The goal of the Indoor Air Quality (IAQ) Project Team is that the indoor air where people live, work and recreate will be free from physical, chemical and biological contaminants that adversely affect the health, safety and comfort of the occupants. Key tasks of the project team include:

  1. Identifying opportunities to improve knowledge and coordination of stakeholders respective roles and jurisdiction in IAQ initiatives and responsibilities.
  2. Improving our collective ability to address IAQ issues in Alberta.
  3. Increasing public awareness on IAQ issues.
  4. Identifying key issues pertaining to IAQ management in Alberta including recommended strategies to address those issues.
  5. Facilitating an Indoor Air Quality educational symposium.
Time Commitment: 

The team will meet 5 times per year, and alternate meetings between Edmonton, Calgary, and Red Deer.

Expenses & Honoraria: 

Per diem and travel rates are covered based on CASA's standard expense policy for NGOs.

Selection Criteria: 
  • Alberta-based ENGO.
  • Interest and experience in indoor air quality issues.
  • Willingness to participate in relevant AEN networking activities.
