EPCOR Community Essentials Council Charitable Donations

The EPCOR Community Essentials Council (ECEC) accepts applications any time throughout the year and collectively reviews them on a quarterly basis. The quarterly deadlines by which to apply for funding in 2013 are:

  • January 22, 2013 at midnight, MST
  • April 23, 2013 at midnight, MST
  • July 30, 2013 at midnight, MST
  • October 15, 2013 at midnight, MST

May Watershed Ambassador Breakfast

The Red Deer River Watershed Alliance (RDRWA) is hosting its monthly Ambassador Breakfast.

There will be a presentation by Lynn Robb, Director of Conservation Education with Trout Unlimited Canada. She is going to speak about Trout Unlimited Canada’s Yellow Fish Road program - a fun and interactive water education program that explores our role in maintaining strong and healthy freshwater ecosystems. The program builds on a culture of caring for our waters throughout Canada that drives choices and actions to be a part of a positive change for clean and healthy water. The City of Red Deer is a Yellow Fish Road partner. Read more »

Photovoltaics for Electricians Class

This class is designed for electricians or those with electrical experience and an understanding of electrical theory and electrical terminology. The class will overview system design, siting, shading and maintenance issues. Photovoltaic equipment including modules, racking systems, inverters, charge controllers, and batteries will be introduced. Section 50 of the Canadian Electrical Code will be interpreted.
