Earth Hour in Calgary

EcoLiving Events and The City of Calgary presents “Earth Hour in Calgary” at Olympic Plaza. Come out and show that Calgary supports this global initiative.  Activities start at 8:00pm and conclude at 9:30pm. Particpate in our countdown, listen to local musicians, discuss climate change solutions and have some hot chocolate heated by the solar power.

Registration is not required but comments are encouraged on either the EcoLiving or Footprint Facebook Site.

CANCELLED: Copenhagen Climate Vigil

Update: The December 11 vigil has decided to amalgamate with the December 12 vigil taking place at the Alberta Legislature from 5:30 - 6:30 pm.

The weekend of Dec 11-13 marks the mid-way point of the climate talks taking place in Copenhagen, Denmark. To mark the occasion people around the world will gather in solemn solidarity with the nations and peoples for whom delay on climate action could mean extinction.  Read more »
