"Stand Up For The River" Race and Spectator Event

Saturday morning, August 24, is your chance to join the North Saskatchewan Riverkeeper and "Stand Up for the River".

Come check out the Easy Rider Stand Up Paddleboard (SUP) race and tour from Hawrelak/Laurier Park bridge or other viewing points along the the North SK River down to Rafter's Landing. Other good spots include the LRT bridge and the trail west of Groat Bridge in MacKinnon Ravine Park. Read more »

We need your help setting up the new boundary fence so we can kick-start our stewardship plans on a beautiful property in the Waterton Park Front! Join us for a hands-on day of demolition and help delineate the eastern property boundary by working with us to remove one mile of old fence so a new fence can be installed on the official property line. Absinthe wormwood is an extremely aggressive invasive species in Canada and establishes in pastures and ranges which can have significant impacts on the quality of forage for wildlife. Join us for a day in the field as we work to remove absinthe wormwood from the Collins property- a 155 acre piece of land that is a key piece in NCC's growing network of protected wetlands in the area. Once we’ve tackled the wormwood, we’ll have the chance to explore and learn about the area with an interpretive nature walk. Read more »
