Waste Minimization and Management in Construction and Demolition Operations

A large proportion of construction and demolition (C&D) wastes are currently disposed of in landfills. This waste management option is not only costly and a poor use of landfill space, but it represents a missed opportunity to extract value from the "waste".

Reductions in the amount of C&D debris in landfills can be achieved by reuse and recycling of discarded materials, as well as by preventing the generation of waste materials in the first place. Read more »
